What is the Attachment block and how do I use it?

Focus:  The focus of this self-help article is to provide steps and information to about the PandaDoc editor content block “Attachment”

What is the Attachment block?:  This block can be used to add additional attachment files to your template or document in the editor.

Which file types do we support with the Attachment block? .PDF, .DOC, .DOCX, .XLS, .XLSX, .PPT, .PPTX files

Feature availability:  Available for all plans. 

Step 1: Create a document/template. Click on “New Document/New Template” on the upper right and then click on “Create a Doc”/”Create a template”.

Step 2: Adding the content block. Over on the right, click and drag the Attachment block over to the editor

To add other blocks, simple drag and drop them.

Step 3: Attachment content block and adding a file.  Now, you can add a file by clicking on “Choose a local file”, drop a file or use one of the Cloud storage options.

Step 4:  Uploaded file Once the file has been uploaded, you can now add fields to the attachment, including signature, initials, etc…

Using Attachment block and Page Numbers. If you are using this block to add a file and also using “Page Header/Page Footer” blocks that have the option to use Page Numbers, the page numbers will be reset if you use the Attachment block. We suggest that the Attachment blocks are added to the bottom of all content, as it does not mess up with the Page numbering…
